Marcia Gay

  Marcia Gay Harden, born on the 14th of August in 1959 is an American actress. Her achievements include numerous honors such as an Academy Award, a Tony Award and nominations for three Primetime Emmy Awards.



 



 Harden was born in San Diego's La Jolla region. She began her acting career in 1980s television shows. 1986 was her first movie role. Her breakout came with Miller's Crossing (1990, Coen brothers). The film won her the Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her role as artist Lee Krasner, in the biographical film Pollock. Her performance as Celeste Boyle (drama film Mystic river (2003) earned her a second Academy Award nomination. Her other notable film credits include The First Wives Club (1996), Flubber (1997), Space Cowboys (2000), Mona Lisa Smile (2003) and the Fifty Shades film trilogy.
